Moe Espinosa better known under his Drumcell alias has made himself a name in the Los Angeles underground rave scene before becoming a household name for techno music globally. Moe’s output can be heard on his own label, Droid Recordings, as well as highly rated labels such as CLR, Torque, Silent Steps and Blank Code, to only name a few. His musical influences range from his work as a classically trained musician in his youth, as well as Noise, Punk and Industrial. His stunning range of sounds can be heard through his and Luis Flores industrial project “Belief Defect” as well as his live ambient project “Hypoxia”. His body of work has taken him from the renegade parties at his roots to such revered stages as Movement Music Festival in Detroit, Berghain in Berlin, Bassiani in Tbilisi and of course his own beloved Observe gatherings. Safe to say that Moe has more than likely showcased his sound in every imaginable club from Europe, Asia, Australia as well as back to South and North America. 

Through the rawness of analogue machines as well as the digital world while producing, Drumcells sound can’t be simply categorized in one simple genre. In fact through his output, be it through his own imprint, his original recordings, his Djing or his own event series in Los Angeles, he has helped to create something bigger than he ever could on his own. Moe is an obscure enigma that serves as a rare constant in the ever shifting world of electronic music.
